Receipt Vault is a single-purpose utility app for storing receipts and tracking product warranties. This privacy policy explains what data the app handles, where it lives, and what we do with it.
Short version: we collect nothing. Your data never leaves your device.
All information you enter — product names, store names, purchase dates, prices, warranty details, serial numbers, notes, and receipt photos — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data is protected by iOS's built-in encryption and is subject to your device's lock screen and backup settings.
If you enable iCloud Backup on your device, your app data may be included in that backup as part of standard iOS behavior. This is controlled entirely by Apple and your own device settings, not by Receipt Vault.
Receipt Vault requests access to your camera and photo library solely for the purpose of scanning and saving receipt images. Photos are stored only on your device and are never transmitted anywhere.
If you grant notification permission, the app schedules local notifications on your device to remind you when warranties are approaching expiration. These notifications are generated and delivered entirely on-device. No notification data is sent to any server.
If you enable biometric lock in the app's settings, your device's built-in Face ID or Touch ID system is used to authenticate you. Receipt Vault never accesses biometric data directly — authentication is handled entirely by Apple's LocalAuthentication framework.
The app includes a Home Screen widget and a Control Center button that open the app to the camera scanning screen. These extensions do not collect or transmit any data.
This app does not collect any data from any user, including children. It is rated 4+ on the App Store.
Receipt Vault does not integrate any third-party SDKs, advertising networks, analytics services, or cloud platforms. There are no third parties involved in the operation of this app.
You can export all your data at any time from the Settings tab inside the app. You can delete individual records at any time, or delete all data at once from Settings. Deleting the app from your device removes all locally stored data permanently.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date. Since this app collects no data, material changes are unlikely.
